Well . . . I'm sitting here in Orlando listening to the rain and wind beat against my house. Enough with the hurricanes! Thank goodness I have power. I lost it for about 9 hours and then it came back . . . how and why, I might never know. But I've got power and to me, that's all that matters. I live in the Northwest side of the city and, thank God, we didn't really get hit with the brunt of the storm. We have had our share of frustrations (between power outs, wind, rain, broken lights, etc.). A few neighbors around have even had problems with their roof . . . and this has been going on for 24 hours. Enough with the hurricanes. Oh, and now we find out that "Ivan" is now an official "hurricane," and they say it might be coming our way. Where do they come up with the names for these things anyway? Well, all I can say is that I thank God that I have faith in Him that everything's going to be ok. I guess it's in times like this where Who (or what) we believe and hope in comes to the surface. For me, it's my faith in God that He'll take care of me and protect me and my family. All that being said, it's nice to be able to see what's new at DA again! Enough with the hurricanes!
